Guido Bible Institute had its roots in the early ministry of The Guido Evangelistic Association. The founder, Michael A. Guido, D.D., was well-known and deeply-loved for his knowledge of God’s Word and his ability to teach the truths of Scripture in heart-warming and life-changing Bible studies. He traveled throughout the state of Georgia and across America sharing his clear interpretation of the Bible and his explanation of the message and meaning of profound themes and doctrines. This resulted in a teaching ministry that included radio and television programs as well as numerous publications that covered the globe. That ministry still continues to grow and will be greatly expanded in both depth and distance through the Guido Bible Institute.
The Guido Bible Institute came into existence in 2007 when the Guido Evangelistic Association entered into an agreement with Brewton-Parker College , Mount Vernon , Georgia that gave birth to The Michael Guido School of Evangelism at Brewton-Parker College . After the first year of study, the Association decided to become an independent institution and established The Guido Center for Christian Training. We applied to the State of Georgia Nonpublic Postsecondary Education Committee (NPEC) to award a Certificate and Associate of Biblical Studies and a Bachelor of Biblical Studies and Christian Ministry under the Religious Exemption status.
With a growing enrollment and the goal of providing extended studies, the Center applied to the Commission once again for permission to change its name to Guido Bible Institute and award Associate and Bachelor of Biblical Studies and Christian Ministry. Permission was granted for these changes and new programs which officially began in August 2010.
The mission of Guido Bible Institute is “to educate Christians with a thorough knowledge and understanding of God’s Word and to equip them with the appropriate skills to protect and proclaim the historic Gospel message of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.”
We are committed tot he inspired, infallible and inerrant Word of God. We are dedicated to proclaiming the love, grace, salvation and hope we have in and through Christ and “by all means to save some.”
The Administration and Faculty are dedicated to the established truths of historical evangelicalism. All fully agree to and support the College’s Statement of Faith and have signed it in the presence of witnesses. All are proven leaders in the academic community as well as recognized and respected church leaders. We stand united in our dedication and determination to be Christ centered and be found faithful “to contend for the faith that was once for all delivered to the saints.”
We are dedicated and determined to be centered and found faithful “to contend for the faith that was once for all delivered to the saints.”
