New Name, New Programs, But…

The State of Georgia Nonpublic Postsecondary Education Commission has granted their approval to change the name of our school from The Guido Center for Christian Training to Guido Bible Institute. Additionally, we will change our courses of instruction to become more focused on meeting the emerging needs of those preparing for Christian ministry.

The curriculum changes we have already initiated include Associate of Christian Ministry, Associate of Internet Ministry, Bachelor of Christian Ministry and Bachelor of Internet Ministry.

Course work done under the previous programs cam be applied to the new studies. The Institute will now have a Dean of the School of Christian Ministry and Dean of the School of Internet Ministry. Incorporated in the Internet Ministry Studies division will be the SOWERONLINE training program. This exciting weekend studies program will include instruction on training individuals to become internet evangelists and missionaries, and will equip students to use the worldwide web to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Although the names of the programs of instruction have changed, the passion for what the Institute does will not change. We are committed to be true to our roots “to contend for the faith that was once for all entrusted to the saints”. Our adjustments are designed to enables students to recognize and respond to the needs of individuals in today’s society.

“Guido Bible Institute, in three words, captures the spirit of our educational goals: It is an Institute”, said Dr. Al Wright, Dean of the School of Christian Ministry. “It will carry on the traditions of the great Bible Institutes of our land with a clear sense of direction established by the great Moody Bible Institute. The focus on what we do will be to equip men and women in our churches who have a hunger and thirst for the Word of God that cannot be satisfied by programs offered in most churches today. We have come to recognize that individuals want more so that they can become more in serving our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We well recognize the gret work done by gifted preachers and – outstanding teachers. However, we also want to reach men and women who have been called to vocational ministry but are not able to go to a college and seminary. We want to become the place where they can get what they need biblically and theologically to minister for Christ in the church.

“Our focus and foundation will be the Bible. We will teach the Word of God for what it is: the inerrant, infallible and fully sufficient Truth of God. We want people to know that this Book was brought in to being by God and that it lives and breathes His life into people, giving us all that we need for fullness of life in this world. What se do as a school, however, is framed by the name, ‘Guido”. We want to do all that we do in the spirit of the man who showed in his walk and revealed in his talk the person of the Lord Jesus. Michael Guido walked in the anointing of the Holy Spirit and our desire is to see classrooms and conversations that are permeated by the presence of the Holy Spirit. We want students to walk into GBI and know that they are in a special place that is a sacred space because of the penetrating presence and power of the Holy Spirit. Thisa is who we are and so much desire to be.

“Would you help us? Pray for us! Send us students! And why not come and join us yourself?”
